The Xaverian Campus
Xaverian is a college with a superb campus and facilities:
Students love our campus! Our facilities are first class, with new and redeveloped accommodation for many subjects. Xaverian is in Victoria Park, Rusholme, within easy reach of most of Greater Manchester.
A campus transformed
The Xaverian campus has undergone major changes in recent years. Starting with Ryken, the last twelve years have seen a series of major buildings and refurbishments that have transformed the Xaverian campus while maintaining the essential character of the site. Mayfield building, the redevelopment of the student common room and Birtles are the most obvious changes, but throughout the campus structural alterations and equipment changes have ensured that Xaverian remains what it is – an outstanding college with first-class facilities for its students.
Ward Hall
Work has just begun on the latest development to the Xaverian Campus – a £1.2 million extension to Ward Hall, one of the college’s oldest and most popular buildings.
Originally built in the 19th Century, Ward Hall has been owned by the college for over 60 years, and because of its listed status any redevelopment has had to retain the essential character of the building – something the college also insists on. In 2014 the college opened an annexe that enhanced the character and completed the look of that part of the campus.
The inside of Ward Hall was remodelled, including developing the huge cellar space, with original features retained. The annexe to the building houses our school of Art, Media and Design, and now the new extension will offer the college the opportunity to grow more subjects to match the increasing popularity of Xaverian for students around Greater Manchester.
