Conversions For Cash!

Xaverian students together with the RFU organised a fundraiser using a huge inflatable rugby goal.  Placed in the middle of the campus, participants donated money for the challenge of kicking three conversions.  All those that took part were given a sports drink and were entered into a national prize draw to win tickets to a rugby match donated by the RFU.

The Btec Sports and Higher Sports Leaders students organised and ran this event raising money for the Francis House Children’s Hospice as part of the Decathlon Olympic Challenge.

The culmination of their hard work and the skills they have gained will be put into practise when they deliver a primary schools tag rugby festival later this year.  Up to two hundred students from local primary schools will take part in this annual festival.  This is one of many fundraising activities the college rugby team have organised since they have established links with Francis House Children’s Hospice.  The target set by the students is £1500.00, they have set up a just giving website, www.justgiving.com/ian-furey
