Sport
The Activities and Enrichment Programme at Xaverian College is completely optional: you choose what to do and when you want to do it. We do believe in creating a balance between studying for your qualifications and doing something that you find personally rewarding. Universities and employers will want to know about you so choose something that you have a passion for, where you will have fun, meet students with similar interests and find out what kind of person you are or perhaps just try something new. Above all it's about our students and enjoying what they do, trying your best and make the most of your experience here at Xaverian College.
We have two sides to our sports programme, our enrichment activities are designed for all students of all abilities, and the sports teams which require students to attend trials and regular training sessions. So whatever your motivation for being involved in sport we hope that there is something here for you! At Xaverian you can get involved in many sporting activities including:

Innovation in PE and Sport
Xaverian has been awarded a 'Sports Innovation Award' by the Manchester School Sports Partnership in recognition of the range of activities offered and the high participation rate by both students and staff. The college was then honoured once more to receive a further innovation award in the Manchester City Council Sports Awards. This award came in the further and higher education category - Xaverian coming ahead of all other Manchester colleges - and was presented by five time world swimming champion James Hickman (second from right). The award recognised the contribution that sport has made to college life by offering activities that the students want to take part in, and the way in which the programme evolves through gaining student feedback.
