Why did you choose to study at Xaverian?
I preferred to go to a College rather than a sixth form. I like how it’s a bit more like a university where you don’t have to stay in school all the time and you have a bit of independence, plus I like all the courses and the teachers seem really nice.
What was your favourite subject?
Chemistry, the lessons are interesting and I enjoy the practicals.
What has been your most memorable moment?
Just spending time with my friends outside of my lessons

Representing College at the Manchester schools climbing competition
How has Xaverian helped you prepare for the future?
Xaverian has given me a lot of support throughout my A Levels, even though the College is about being more independent, the support is there if you need it, especially the counselling and mental health support.

Politics! It allows me to better understand and analyse the world around me.”
What has been your most memorable moment?
Summer on-Campus, getting to spend time outside with friends in the sun in between lessons. It is nice to see everyone coming together and enjoying themselves.
What has been your proudest moment?
When I got my mock grades. I felt all of my hard work was paying off and I was consistently improving in all subjects.
How has Xaverian helped you prepare for the future?
Xaverian has exposed me to a much more diverse community than i have had previously and has given me lots of opportunities such as the opportunity to see Andy Burnham in person and receive advice from him, furthering my education. Xaverian has also been thorough in helping me advance onto university through lots of advice and help.

Why did you choose to study at Xaverian?
My brother came to this College, and because it is a Catholic college with a good reputation.
What is your Favourite subject?
Further Maths! I love that each lesson challenges me.
What has been your most memorable moment?
Probably when it was the first hot day and everyone was sat out on the field. Because it was a really nice community moment and showed the importance of having a big green space.
What has been your proudest moment?
Receiving my offer to study Maths at the University of Oxford!
How has College helped you prepare for the future?
I have always felt incredibly supported by staff and other students, and there is always someone to turn to, which is amazing. Xaverian really is a community where you are encouraged to believe in yourself and your abilities.

Why did you choose to study at Xaverian?
My decision was mainly based on the reputation of the Music department and the opportunities they offer to perform live.
What was your Favourite subject?
Music , just because it is much more than you expect it to be! At the Xaverian music department I learned that there is so much more to music than playing or listening to it.
What has been your proudest moment?
There have been so many, however one specific moment is when my Music Teacher called my work and work ethic exemplary in front of the class. They made me realise that I am capable and that my efforts pays off.
What has been your most memorable moment?
Getting to spend time with all of my
amazing friends!
How has Xaverian helped you prepare for the future?
Having experienced staff members, who are musicians themselves or still work within the industry means I have been learning from the very best! I have had constant advice and guidance on how to become a successful musician!

Why did you choose to study at Xaverian?
Xaverian seemed like a really friendly and supportive place to be. The Campus stood out and I had heard great things about the Science department.
What was your Favourite subject?
Biology! It is my favourite, but also the one that
challenges me the most, which keeps me motivated to work hard. The teachers apply real-life scenarios to our learning, which makes it more interesting.
What has been your most memorable moment?
Taking part in enrichment activities, in particular, competing in Round One of the British Biology Olympiad earlier this year!
What has been your proudest moment?
Receiving an offer to study Medicine at the University of Oxford was an extremely proud moment for me and my family.
How has Xaverian helped you prepare for the future?
Xaverian has served as a basis in allowing me to propel forward towards achieving my dreams. They have supported me along my journey towards applying to medical school and helped me reach my goals.

The reputation! Everyone always talks about how amazing the teachers are and how successful students are as they progress with their careers.
What was your Favourite subject?
Spanish! Our classes are so much fun and
our teachers have encouraged us to succeed from day one. They have made my experience here so enjoyable.
What has been your proudest moment?
Walking out of my exams feeling confident that I have tried my very best.

Xaverian has helped me make informed decisions about my next steps and taught me that everyone can achieve their greatest ambitions if they work hard.
