Why did you choose to study at Xaverian?
I chose to study at Xaverian because of the diverse community and vast range of opportunities available.
What was your favourite subject?
I’ve really enjoyed my Graphics A Level as it has developed
my creative ability and skills in using editing software, and it has and also inspired me to continue studying the subject at university and eventually I want to use the skills I have gained from Business A Level to start my own business as a Graphic Designer.
What have you most enjoyed about your course?
The artwork I produced for Mission Marine, which focused on environmental issues and I produced posters to communicate the messages of the charity, such as the plight of animals and sea life and charity initiatives, such as an ‘adopt an animal’ scheme. I also created artwork for a wine company called ‘Souliac’ and produced graphics for posters and packaging that focused on the eco-friendly side of the company and its products.
How has Xaverian helped you prepare for the future?
Studying Graphics has inspired me to continue studying the subject at university and eventually I want to use the skills I have gained from Business A Level to start my own business as a Graphic Designer.

Why did you choose to study at Xaverian?
I chose to study at Xaverian because of its great academic reputation, the wide range of opportunities it had to offer, and most importantly the friendly environment that both the staff and the campus itself had created.
What is your Favourite subject?
It would have to be a tie between biology and chemistry. I loved being able to bring the two subjects together to give myself a greater understanding of how chemistry plays its role in the living world.
What has been your most memorable moment?
One of my most memorable moments at Xaverian would have to be Year 12 Community Day. I really enjoyed all the different events from the cultural event, to the talent show, and in particular the staff play.
How has College helped you prepare for the future?
Xaverian was very helpful throughout my entire college experience and provided great support throughout the UCAS application process. Oxbridge meetings helped me plan and prepare by hosting personal statement sessions, interview workshops, and mock interviews. Xaverian’s Careers team were always available to answer questions or give advice. Subject-specific teachers were open to reading over my personal statement and helping me prepare for Oxford interviews which gave me great constructive feedback.

Why did you choose to study at Xaverian?
I liked the spread out nature of the College and it almost feels like a university campus rather than a college. I also like the fact you are encouraged to be independent and you can use your timetable frees to do work outside of class. The College has a lot of history to it as well!
What is your Favourite subject?
I was particularly interested in Mathematics and enjoyed the challenge of problem-solving using numbers, so this was an area I was keen to continue with at Xaverian.
How has College helped you prepare for the future?
The Careers team supported me through the application process and coached me through the application stages of writing the application, an online video interview, group activity sessions and final interviews. They helped me find videos and websites giving advice on how to approach the different stages, how to make the best impression, and how to approach the final interview with senior staff at the companies.
What are your next steps?
I love using maths and would really relish using my skills to troubleshoot and help organisations improve their business performance. I like the idea of a university lifestyle but I want to have the responsibility that comes with working for an employer and knowing what I am doing day-to-day isn’t just studying and it’s making a difference to the company and clients that I am working for. The Degree Apprenticeship will get me to the same place as university but I will also be gaining experience alongside as I am doing it.

It’s a massive from leap from college to university, so it’s a bit scary but I’m really excited about going. Studying Forensics opens doors to many career opportunities, but I’m interested in working in the police to do forensic examination as part of crime scene investigation.
