Beyond the classrooms and suites and studios and labs where you’ll immerse yourself in all kinds of learning experiences, Xaverian offers the Study Centre – an expansive space packed with facilities and services to help you organise all that new knowledge.
The Study Centre spans two floors and includes our library and the Ryken Workroom.
When you’re not entranced by a spell on the lawns (and as we know Manchester is overly familiar with the word ‘rainy’?) the Study Centre is a great spot to hone your study skills.
Here you’ll find loads of (80) PCs with access to the internet, and Xaverian intranet packed with specialist subject resources. When there’s a computer available, just hop right on.
We’ve also got helpful staff on hand to support your studies so don’t be afraid to ask for help.
When you’re looking for peace and quiet (feel free to use your headphones, though keep the volume on low so everyone can get on with their work) come and settle into our study spaces and computer desks.
What with this being a library, this is also rather obviously where you come for books, and journals – we stock more than 35 subject-specific titles supporting your research.
What you might not know is Xaverian students also get free online access to journals, magazines, newspapers. and the Encyclopaedia Britannica.
The library also has an extensive careers section.
Looking for more reading resources? Xaverian students can join the University of Manchester library, which stocks literally thousands of books and just fifteen-minute walk up the road.
