Xaverian college is amazing and the instructors are great. When you’re here it’s like a big family. It’s great to be a part of.
Every student is supported to achieve their very best.
And if you’re determined to excel at some of the world’s most prestigious universities, Xaverian will pull out all the stops to help you accomplish your ambition.
From the endless opportunities for enrichment to our Extended Project Qualification, you’ll develop both academically and recreationally.
Students demonstrating academic excellence and a commitment to achieving the highest grades will be offered the chance to join our High Achievers programme.
Last year almost 50 former Xaverian students were offered places at the world’s top 20 universities.
Alongside your A Levels we’ll organise an intensive leadership and research development schedule. It starts with the tutorial programme.
The world’s leading universities demand of their students the rigorous application of creative and critical thinking.
On your tutorial programme you’ll be stretched, challenged and encouraged to consider innovatively your subjects, problems and issues. You’ll investigate how to use what you’ve learned in the wider world. Practical application is at the core of your tutorial programme, when you’ll be fully immersed in the Xaverian mindset embracing new ideas, developing resilience and mastering the art of self-guided study.
You’ll meet fortnightly and channel your thinking across a wide range of activities and workshops to broaden your horizons and develop the skills to get you ready to excel in higher education.
Xaverian is all about helping its students gain fresh perspectives on our world. Don’t expect your study to focus exclusively on the curriculum. Tutors are here to challenge your thinking and show you how what you’re learning fits into the wider context. What you learn only gets remembered when you put it to the test.
This fundamental of teaching is core to your success – today, and at university. Instead of thinking like a history student, contemplate as a historian. Not an art student, but an artist. This is the Xaverian difference readying you for the next step of your journey.
We have a programme of activities dedicated to broadening your mind. In recent years we’ve welcomed university lecturers to deliver lecture series and provide thinking skills workshops. We’ve invited some of the world’s biggest brands to support students with dedicated high achiever sessions.
You can also look forward to:
The EPQ is designed specifically to make you think like an undergraduate by creating a mini-thesis or creative artefact, each requiring extensive research and the structuring of sophisticated ideas on diverse topics ranging from Shakespeare to Star Trek.
Succeed in the EPQ – half an A Level qualification offered alongside your A Levels – and you’ll have confidence in your abilities to study independently.
