Xaverian is one of the most diverse sixth form colleges in the country, and we're proud of it.

Our College is made up of students from hundreds of cultures, backgrounds, faiths and experiences. Different stories. Different identities. Different perspectives. And together, that’s what makes this community feel like something more than a place to study, it’s a place to belong. Because here, DEIB isn’t a policy you read, it’s something you feel and live through every single day.

Our DEIB Team

From courageous conversations about identity, to student-led initiatives and awareness campaigns, our DEIB team works behind the scenes and alongside students to keep inclusion active, visible, and meaningful all year round.

Everything we do is about creating a culture where people feel comfortable being themselves and confident using their voice, because belonging isn’t something we assume, it’s something we build together.

Community Culture Day

Every summer, we close out the academic year with Community Culture Day: our biggest and most-loved event in the College calendar. If there’s one day that captures the spirit of Xaverian, it’s this.

Year 12 students step away from lessons and come together to celebrate everything that makes Xaverian special. The campus comes alive with food stalls, traditional dress, artwork, henna, live music, talent shows, sporting games, and more, all showcasing the incredible range of cultures within our community.

Students describe it as one of their standout Xaverian memories.

Community Culture Day may be the highlight at the end of the year, but it’s built on months of celebration. From Black History Month and Disability Awareness Month to International Women’s

Month, Pride, and many more moments in between, we bring the College together through guest speakers, performances, panels, and events that spark conversation and connection.

“A big focus of the group this year has been bringing the Xaverian community together with gardening initiatives around the College, including building greenhouses around the campus and bee-friendly initiatives. We also raised awareness of and celebrated different cultures, such as the ‘Break the Fast’ event to mark the end of fasting for Ramadan, making Chinese dragons and placing them around the College to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Being a part of the DEIB group has been a great experience for me, which has been about making new friends and working together on shared projects to increase inclusion and the sense of community at Xaverian.”
