Young people who are care-experienced and those leaving care are entitled to financial help to cover the cost of studying at the College. Students aged 16-18 years, and meeting the eligibility criteria, can typically receive Free School Meals along with other financial support for travelling to College.
PEP meetings may be set up with you, your social worker, your tutors and those who support you at College. They are designed to check how your College experience is progressing, make any changes and plan ahead for your future following sixth form.
Applying to university can be a challenging time but, here at Xaverian, we support our care-experienced students throughout the process. From putting you in touch with our Careers team for expert advice and guidance, to sign-posting you to Open Day visits, linking you in with visiting university representatives and ensuring your reference includes all the relevant information about you, our staff will support you every step of the way.
