Results Day is just the beginning. Here’s what it felt like for three of our students – and where they are now.
Our students go everywhere. In 2025 they took up places at universities across the UK, from Manchester to Edinburgh, from Bristol to Belfast. Russell Group universities including Oxford, Cambridge, LSE and King’s College London all featured among their destinations. So did art colleges, conservatoires, medical schools and specialist institutions.
The range of courses reflects the ambition of our students. Law, medicine, pharmacy, biomedical science, computer science, architecture, nursing, film, education, business, psychology. Whatever direction you want to head in, Xaverian students have been there.
University isn’t the only route, and we don’t treat it as if it were. Apprenticeships, employment and other pathways are just as much a success story. Every leaver matters, and we track where they go because every destination counts.
Results like these don’t happen by accident. They come from teachers who are subject experts, many of whom are also examiners. From a culture where high expectations are paired with genuine care. And from a support system that starts the moment you discover us.

“All my subjects were exceedingly well taught. I remember my teachers’ passion for their subjects really shone through, something that I can now comfortably say, in my 4th year of degree education, is welcome in teaching. I particularly enjoyed the community feel of the college and the strong academic connection I felt with the friends I had made on my subjects. Following the completion of my master’s degree, I plan to pursue a PhD in Computational Astrophysics and, after this, I am considering teaching or working for the Institute of Physics or the Science and Technology Facilities Council.”

“My course at Xaverian gave me a fascinating insight into business, and I loved that it involved so many different skills, such as being creative, strategic and innovative etc. Every lesson was different, and I was constantly learning new topics and their application in the real world. My teachers were so supportive, both academically and personally which really made all the difference. I have now graduated from a Marketing Apprenticeship at Amazon, where I had chance to learn from some of the most innovative minds in the industry, contribute to impactful global campaigns and grow both professionally and personally. I have had so many opportunities for development in the last few years, and I am excited to more recently have founded my own company, Nine Lives Marketing, A 360 social and content agency helping businesses and founders show up on social.”

“I chose the College mostly because of the campus. Leaving high school, I loved the idea of lots of open space. Being able to move around different buildings was freeing and felt very grown-up at the time. I mostly remember my film class, unsurprisingly. It’s what made me realise that film is what I want to do as a career. Phil Drinkwater, being such an incredible teacher, played a big role in that. My next goal is to win a film festival! Having ‘Bobby’ achieve runner-up has just made me want it even more.”

“I went to the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) to study International Relations and History. Following this, completed a Master’s Degree in Newspaper Journalism at City, University of London. I began my career working for ‘The Guardian’ as a Freelance Journalist, and then joined ‘i Newspaper’ as a Breaking News Reporter, and now work as Global Affairs Correspondent for the same newspaper. I always knew I wanted to do something linked to politics, human rights, and global issues like conflict and humanitarian crises. For me, journalism combined those things with my love of writing. The great thing about my job is I get the opportunity to talk to interesting people, which is something I feel very lucky to be able to do. Xaverian was certainly an important time in shaping my identity and interests.”
