We expect 100% attendance from every student, and we monitor this closely throughout the year.Â
We understand that things come up. The following absences can be authorised with the right notice or evidence:Â
University Open Days or Applicant
Days (up to four per year, evidence

Hospital, orthodontist
 appointments or serious illness (evidence required)Â
Practical driving test (evidence

Religious holidays notified at least 24 hours in advance
Bereavement or funeral (letter or phone call from a parent or carer)Â

Any absence where evidence was required but not provided
Accompanying a family member to an appointment
Looking after siblings
Exclusions from a lesson 
or campus

If you arrive late, go straight to your class and let the teacher know. You’ll be marked as late rather than absent. If lateness becomes a pattern, your teacher will have a conversation with you and may involve your Pastoral Manager.
If you arrive so late that you’ve missed the class entirely, report to the Attendance Office.
